landis a no show in denmark

there’s an old saying: something’s rotten in denmark. well, something is certainly brewing in the press, after was a no show for a event in denmark today, reportedly on a plane to see his doctor in germany, instead. the drug test that has thrown his tour de france win in question suggests higher than usual levels of testosterone; he may have been taking testosterone to help with his .

so, i read the article on why testosterone is used to help bone thickness, but it only mentioned small bones, vertebrae, of the spine. it seems to me that the hip bone is rather large. we won’t know, until-if-or when he tells us, how landis may or may not have been taking testosterone injections, using a patch or some sort of gel to help his hip. boy (no pun intended), that had to be one massive dose to have sent him flying up that mountain!

just had a funny thought: the line in the , ‘,’ that goes something like (referring to the alien spacecraft) ‘i gotta get me one of these!’ how many males just had a similar thought cross their minds…

admit it, you did! ROFLMBO

back to landis…we’re praying you’re a clean american hero.

landis scandalous?

will the french just never give up, or is the ‘unidentified rider’ who failed the drug test after stage 17 of the ?

the story just broke that landis may be involved, himself, in a scandal that could result in his fairytale tour win being revoked.

it’s always easy to say that someone must have cheated to have won such a difficult stage in such an incredible manner. however, everyone should be innocent until proven guilty. all the same, if landis is, indeed, found guilty, i imagine that the public shame upon the tour, and US cyclists will amount to little compared to the shame upon his family.

oh, floyd…you’re not a doper, or are you? won’t dance to that tune with you!

reality is big business

about 40 years ago, my kid sis wrote an elementary school paper on how (in viet nam) is big . now, we have reality as big .

funnily enough, , formerly known as (lead singer of) and teeny bopper idol (even my daughter made us follow nsync from one concert to another within 200 miles of here), emerged from the closet and announced he’s more in synch with a gay reality show star. bye, bye, bye, girls, LOL!

speaking of , there are those worth watching, and others that leave you wondering what were they thinking! my favorites are (so much cattiness) and (fun with food). they’re far better than other shows that made me flee the room, cover my ears or turn my stomach.

yet, we’re all addicted to one or another. admit it – you are, aren’t you?! there’s a reality show for just about everyone, these days, and even a new cable channel for gays called ‘,’ although i’ve yet to figure out the significance of the title.

hmmm…maybe being gay is big business…there’s , project runway, – all great shows.

thanks, i just like to watch (the shows, that is) and i’ll stick with being straight, married with children, LOL!

wal-mart one up on hillary

affordable is a popular issue that campaign on, argues about and about half our population lacks. fueled by high costs of medical equipment and medicines, doctors who seem to care more about accounting than about the patient, our litigious society and abuse of insurance coverage that the rest of us honest folks have to pay for, too many children, women and elderly are forced to decide between groceries or medicine.

, you may recall, attempted to present herself as a champion of affordable health care. however, has one-upped her by putting their money where their mouth is and opening walk-in where the un- or under-insured can seek basic care for roughly half the cost of the traditional office visit. the clinics are staffed by licensed nurse practitioners versus doctors who can provide care to patients at least 18 months old.

there are at least two ways to look at this:

  1. either continues to fail in resolving our national healthcare crisis, or
  2. , once again, finds a way to carve a profit out of a social need,

or both. CVS and other retailers are following suit.

either way, i see it as arkansas’ wal-mart one-upping an uppity former arkansan by succeeding where she failed miserably, and i love it!

so, now you can buy your domestic supplies, find inexpensive diamonds, get your tires changed and fill the prescription written by your healthcare provider right there in the same one-stop shop.

forgive me while i ROFLMBO!
